Trip is a free search tool for evidence-based research that has a couple of useful features highlighted on this page.
Some content found in Trip can be accessed for free, but Trip does not provide links to library full-text the way that PubMed does. To see if a source found in Trip is accessible from our library, take a look at this video about locating specific articles.
1. Trip provides a convenient PICO search function. Go to Trip and click on "PICO" above the search box:

2. Enter your PICO elements in the appropriate boxes.
3. Once you have a list of search results, use the limiters on the right to select Controlled Trials. The number on the right indicates how many results Trip has for that type of evidence. In this example, there are only five controlled trials for this topic.

4. Remember, Trip is a free resource and may ask you to pay or subscribe in order to access full text. Please do not pay for articles, and consult the tutorial above to see if you can locate these articles in the library (for free!).
