This guide contains many of the Resnick Library's policies for students, faculty, and staff.

Resnick Library Social Media Policy

The Mildred and Louis Resnick Library at SUNY Delhi uses a variety of social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, You Tube, Twitter, etc...) to help increase awareness of library events, library services, physical and digital collections within the library, to share information about other campus events, and to promote information and media literacy.

Intended Audience: The library's intended audience are college students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Also those community members in the greater Delhi area, as well as organizations such as libraries and other cultural/educational institutions within the greater geographical area of Delhi.

Guidelines:

  • The social media postings have final approval or rejection by the Library Director
  • The library posts information related to services and events for its community and is not posting to seek out comments and will not respond to comments
  • The library will post invitations to the community to respond to specific issues or activities as part of a campaign on occasion
  • The intent of the library's social media is to engage with the community

The Resnick Library will abide by the SUNY Delhi Social Media Guidelines
