Exotic Animals (Lariviere, VETS 247): Finding Veterinary Information using the Resnick Library

This guide will help students in Professor Lariviere's Exotic Animals class (Vets 247), to complete their research assignment/presentation.

Using MILO

MILO is like the "Google" of Resnick Library. Searching in MILO will bring you articles, books, e-books, videos, and more. It can be overwhelming to have that many results in one place, so make sure you use the check boxes on the left side of the search results page to limit the results you're getting!

(Type in an Author: for example, Kenneth Pyle, or Keyword(s): for example. dystocia and sloths)

Finding Scholarly Articles

Use these databases to search for articles. In most cases, you'll be able to access the full-text of the articles and the database will create your citations for you!  For further information concerning Scholarly Articles, please see the "Scholarly (Peer-Reviewed) Articles" tab on this guide.

Search Google Scholar

If you're going to use Google, try Google Scholar, which searches only reliable academic sources. Those entries labelled with the "Find Full Text at Delhi" link should get you the full-text content.
