Clinical Physiology (Reinhardt, VETS 180): Finding Books

A Guide to help you get a good grade on the Research Article Assignment!

II. Finding General Books on your topic

II. Finding Books and other Materials on Your Topic

Once you have a general idea of what your topic involves, and/or the specific animal you will studying, look in the library online catalog for books, both e-books and printed, audiotapes, videotapes and computer sources.  Veterinary information is generally found in two sections of a library: 1.) In the SFs, the area for veterinary medicine, and 2.) in the QH-QLs, the area for biology and zoology.

Additionally, you may wish to try to locate books, both electronic and printed, in other libraries. Here is a link to other books catalogs you can have access to as a SUNY Delhi student.

Below are some good sources for overviews of different veterinary topics, followed by examples of topics/terms you might search under in the Resnick Library Catalog to find sources, as well as a few good sources here in the library and on the Web.
