III. Finding Journal Articles / Using Magazine Indexes
To get the more in-depth and up to date material that journals and magazines offer, you'll need to search in Periodical (magazine) Indexes. Below are some indexes to try for veterinary science subjects. All indexes are linked from the library journal indexes page: https://guides.delhi.edu/dbs_subject
Print Journals
To find other articles, you can also browse through the library’s printed magazines and journals. The following animal-related journals are available in print in the Resnick Library. The current year of these magazines are kept on the display shelf at the back of the main floor of the library, while older issues are kept on the upper floor of the library. Keep this list handy while searching periodical indexes. If you do not see the journal you're looking for, request the article through our Interlibrary Loan service.

Veterinary Clinics of North America
NOTE: Veterinary Clinics of North America is a scholarly journal divided into 4 different series: Large Animal Practice (now Food Animal Practice), Small Animal Practice, Equine Practice, and Exotic Animal Practice. Each of these series publishes 3-6 issues per year, and each issue contains 10-20 scholarly articles related to a topic on animals within that practice. Each issue has been cataloged in the library's book catalog, so references to topics in specific issues can be found there. (You will recognize these issues because they each contain a call number beginning with SF 601 .V52. All issues are located in the Merrill Room and can be checked out with the permission of a librarian.
