Finding Permalinks in Library Databases

General pointers

This guide provides instructions for how to locate stable permalinks that will allow users to access resources with as few clicks as possible. Permalinks are important for providing alternative access to an accessible format, since the PDFs in library databases usually do not meet accessibility standards.

The URL shown in your browser's address bar is not always a stable way to link to a resource. Most of our database providers have a way to get a permalink, but every interface labels it differently, which can make it complicated to find.

This guide is a work in progress. The library subscribes to resources with many different interfaces which often change. If you don't see what you need here or it looks different than what is shown, please contact the library.

MILO

If you have conducted your search using MILO you can get a permalink to the article from your search results. See the screenshot below on where to click to copy the permalink address for the addrss.
