110 Writing Assignment

As a reminder, here are the directions for your writing assignment for 110 as given by Dr. Brusoe:

  • You will write a 5 page, double-spaced 12 pt. font on an economic topic
  • As part of this project, you will need to define a question you want to address
  • Complete the outline sheet that you have been given
  • You will want to spend a few paragraphs talking about why this is a problem.
  • You will want to spend a few paragraphs talking about your proposed solution(s).
  • You will want to spend a few paragraphs countering any obvious issues or concerns

Remember - you can earn bonus points (2 points) for meeting with a reference librarian to review your topic!

Library Resources

While Google can be a great place for information, when it comes to a research paper, the library and our many resources may be better.

When you use the library's search tools and databases, you are getting a curated list of resources that have already been checked for things like author credibility and accuracy of information. You also get extra features like citations being created for you! Using the library's resources can save you a lot of time when you don't have to evaluate every item to make sure it is acceptable to use as a resource.
