This guide contains many of the Resnick Library's policies for students, faculty, and staff.

Library Mission

The Resnick Library is committed to providing information resources in support of SUNY Delhi’s academic programs and teaching the campus community to use those resources effectively, in a supportive cross-curricular environment that fosters study, research and collaborative learning. 

Library Hours

The Resnick Library's hours do change throughout the semester to meet changing student needs. In general our hours will follow this schedule:

First 5 weeks (or after the first break)

  • Monday-Thursday: 8am-10pm
  • Friday: 8am-8pm
  • Sunday: Noon-10pm

After week 6 (or the first full week after the first break)

  • Monday-Thursday: 8am-Midnight
  • Friday: 8am-8pm
  • Sunday: Noon-Midnight

The Library typically extends our hours even further for the week prior to and during finals week each semester. Those hours will be displayed and posted during week 13 of the semester.

Summer Hours

  • Monday - Thursday: 8am - 4pm
  • Friday: By appointment
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed
  • Closed for holidays: Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and Independence Day

 

General Library Information

The Resnick Library has a staff of around seven. We employ 3 Librarians, 3 full time professional support staff, and 1 part-time Evening Manager. The Library also employs a number of students. Our student staff are primarily students who have been awarded work study financial aid, however we also hire three - six Student Assistants each year. 

The Library has one computer lab of 26 work stations, as well as 60 computer work stations on the main floor. Collections include those geared for research at the college level, over 100 databases for research, and a leisure collection of fiction and movies. Librarians offer research assistance in group and one-on-one settings, as well as workshops and other programs. 

 

Fees and Fines

  • Regular circulating materials do not accrue late fees if they are returned before the end of the semester
  • $5/day fine for reserve items removed from the Library
  • Additional charges assessed for lost or damaged materials
  • Overdue notices, fines, and bills are sent to you directly via campus email
