These workshops were given to demonstrate graduate-level research strategies for students in the MSN program, but everyone is encouraged to explore these videos.
Strategic Searching: This workshop shows you how to make your searches more efficient, including how to boost a regular keyword search and how to use all of those checkboxes and limiters available in different databases.
Managing the Research Process: There are lots of tools available to help you save and organize your sources so that you can save time when writing. This workshop will look at research management tools in the library’s EBSCO databases, and Google Scholar.
Beyond CINAHL, Beyond Articles: CINAHL is our go-to nursing database, but as a graduate student you will encounter many topics that cross disciplinary boundaries, and it can be helpful to search resources in education, psychology, sociology, etc. There are also many types of useful scholarly resources beyond journal articles. This workshop shows how to identify other places to search and other types of resources to expand the information available to you. Please note that we no longer subscribe to Statista, one of the resources demonstrated in the video. All of the others are still available.
