Delhi's Writing Across the Curriculum Committee has drafted 3 different Syllabi statements that can be used on your syllabi, depending on the individual course needs:
Strictly prohibiting Generative AI Use in Your Course
The use of any generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools is prohibited in this course. If you are not sure whether or not a tool is considered generative AI, please consult with the instructor before using the technology on any assignment.
Allowing the Use of Generative AI with Instructor Permission in Your Course
The use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools is prohibited without prior permission from the instructor. Whether or not generative AI use is permitted for an assignment will be explicitly communicated when that assignment is introduced, and any such use must be appropriately acknowledged and cited. If you are unsure whether or not a tool is considered generative AI, or whether or not the use of generative AI is allowed for an assignment, please consult with the instructor before using the technology.
Encouraging the Use of Generative AI in Your Course
This course encourages students to explore the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPt. Any such use must be appropriately acknowledged and cited.
