For an extensive guide on how to properly format your citaitions see Purdue Owl

If you are having trouble please contact a librarian.

The quickest way to do citations...

Is to let the databases do them for you!

MILO and the article-only databases will all format the citations for your Works Cited or References page.

In MILO or Academic Search Complete, click on the title of the article or book in your list of results. Look on the right side of your screen for a list of "Tools" and click on the link that says "Cite"

cite is the fifth link in the list of tools in Academic Search Complete

If you've opened the PDF full text version of the article, you may only see the icon, which is a yellow piece of paper:

the cite link may also appear as an icon

Either way, a box will appear with a list of citations in different styles. Simply copy and paste the citation for the appropriate style onto your Works Cited or References page:

select the MLA citation from the list of formats

In the General Science Collection, look for the "cite" on the list on the upper right side of the page:

citation tools is the fourth link in the list of tools in Opposing Viewpoints

Select the citation style you are using (MLA or APA).  Your citation will appear in the window below. Copy and paste the citation (without the Document URL) onto your Works Cited or References page.
